福州港马尾港务公司是福州港第一大公司,1998年公司在诸项改革举措中,实行港铁联运,充分发挥铁路专用线的作用,不但在1999年保住老货源,而且拓展新货源,成为企业扭亏为盈的重要因素,为公司开拓了新的经济增长点。一、发挥港口铁路专用线的重要作用福州港铁路专用线与国家铁路相衔接,是连续内陆腹地与沿海的主要桥梁。马尾港务公司不少大宗货物如铁矿、盐、煤、废纸、钢材、沥青、瓷砖等均经火车进出港,占全年生产吞吐量约三分之一,营业总收入的四分之一。但是,随着市场经济的发展,竞争的加剧,港口铁路单一的运输方式已无法适应
