Objective To investigate the effects of altitude fall experiment on whole blood quality at different storage time. Methods Eighteen bags of whole blood were divided into three groups and stored at 4 ℃ for 1, 7, 14 days respectively for simulated aerial fall from the ground. Whether the samples were hemolyzed before and after the fall was detected and compared before and after the fall of each group of whole blood Plasma free hemoglobin (FHb), electrolytes (K +, Na +), p H values, and ATP concentrations. Results No hemolysis was observed in the whole blood of different storage periods before and after falling at high altitude. After falling for 1 and 7 days, the indexes of blood did not change (P> 0.05) Before and after the fall, FHb was 97.4 ± 6.2 vs 105.3 ± 6.8 (P <0.05), K + (mmol / L) 11.28 ± 1.15 vs 12.65 ± 1.2 (P <0.05). Conclusion Simulated altitude crash did not change the whole blood quality of stocks in short term.
