The “Declaration of Human Rights”, which was born during the French Revolution, laid the foundation for bourgeois democratic thinking. However, “human rights” here actually refers to “patriarchal rights.” This one-sidedness led to the “Declaration of Manifesto” in the Great Revolution, resulting in Conflicts between human rights and feminism. This article begins with the impact of the “Declaration of Human Rights” on awakening of women and elaborates on the theoretical and practical conflicts between human rights and women’s rights in the Great Revolution and their causes in order to re-understand the Great Revolution from the perspective of human liberation.
