This article discusses the high-frequency properties of superconductors, including London, Pippard, and Mattis-Bardeen surface impedances, and discusses techniques for testing and reducing losses. Describing and evaluating residual resistance mechanisms (including high field effects), the depths described in various aspects are suitable for engineering design. The article also discusses the use of superconducting resonators and superconducting wires in filters, tuners, oscillators, amplifiers, mixers, transmission lines, antennas, light and radiation detection, and studies of various materials.
