In order to further identify the morphological characteristics of malignant mesothelial cells under light microscopy, we reviewed 16 cases of malignant mesothelial cells with both histological diagnosis and pleural effusion. To investigate the difference between the morphological characteristics of malignant mesothelial cells and the adenocarcinoma cells and hyperplastically hyperactive mesothelial cells. 1 General Information Materials were obtained from our hospital in January 1987 to December 1996, diagnosed by histopathology and pleural effusion exfoliative cytology.
