吴江市梅堰中学,系一所农村初级中学,创办于1968年,1997年易地重建。学校以新课程改革为契机,遵循“工作中求发展,发展中求个性”的管理意识;追求“特色化的课程,个性化的学校”的办学方向;实践“做学合一,个性发展”的治学策略。学校脚踏农村沃土,传承良渚文化,仰望时代发展,从传统教育强项“劳动与技术教育”入手,构建和实践以“研究性学习”为核心的、富有学校特色的校本课程——项目学习课程,有效传授知识和发展技能,提高国家课程的实施水准。
