In the 1940s, the translation and introduction of extraterritorial modernist literature in our country were greatly influenced by the cultural context of war. In the early days of the Anti-Japanese War, the publishing industry was destroyed. The translation of modernist literature outside the territory was almost missing. After the war of resistance against Japan, some modern literary translations appeared in Chongqing, Guilin and Kunming. After the victory of the war of resistance against Japan, the civil war began again. The press and publication industry gradually recovered during the war, and there was an increase in the translation and introduction of modernist literature. The Jiu Yeh faction and its predecessor poets around the “poetry creation” and “new Chinese poetry” gathered in Shanghai , They turned their eyes on the translation of Rilke, Eliot, Oden and others with common cultural situations and put forward the proposition of “modernizing new poems” with their own practice.
