Menopause refers to women transition from sexual maturity to old age, including menopause and its period of time. Postmenopausal age has a tendency to postpone, with 47.5 years in rural China and 49.5 years in urban areas. About the definition of menopause, the International Union of Obstetrics and Gynecology regulations are 2 to 5 years before menopause, 6 to 8 years after menopause; WHO is limited to menopause and at least one year before and after. Generally 40 to 60 years of age in this category for the menopause; American Research Center expanded from 35 to 65 years old. These are man-made rules.
