Recently, the 15th Health Economics Symposium of 6 provinces (districts) of Central South China was held in Yueyang City, Hunan Province. The meeting exchanged the results of research on the theory of health economics, introduced the practical experience of deepening health reforms, and discussed the response strategies of China’s health care industry after China’s accession to the WTO. Professor Wang Baozhen, vice president of the Chinese Association of Health Economics, attended the meeting and delivered congratulatory messages; the China Health Economics Society, the China Health Resources Magazine, and the Health Economics Research Magazine sent members to attend the meeting. Prof. Zhou Liangrong of the Department of Social Sciences of the University of South China and Professor Ye Weirong of the Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Sciences respectively made the “Opportunities and Challenges Brought to the Health Service System of China through Accession to the WTO,” and “Shaping the Hospital Culture and Improving the Nucleus of the Hospital.”
