地质部岩溶地质研究所主办的专业期刊《中国岩溶》公开出版了,它将报导我国岩溶科学技术成果、开展学术讨论,促进岩溶研究工作的发展,对此我表示衷心的祝贺。 我国的碳酸盐岩分布广泛,全国各地均有出露,尤以南方的云、贵、川、两广、两湖、江西等省(区)最为典型,其分布约占全国总面积的五分之一。由于各地气候件及地质历史的不同,岩溶形态和类型也多式多样,并有其独特之处。 岩溶与国民经济建设,人民的生产和生活,息息相失。人类的祖先——猿人,曾经栖居在岩溶洞穴中。许多岩溶地区,因地表缺水,影响工农业生产,而大量的岩溶地下水又在往影响矿床开发利用;各种重大工程建筑常因不考虑岩溶特点而出现严重问题。此外,有多种矿产资源与岩溶作用和岩溶发育有成因的关系。因此,岩溶研究工作之开展已刻不容缓。国家科委将这项工作列为国家重点研究项目之一。是完全正确的
The Chinese Karst, a professional journal sponsored by the Institute of Karst Geology of the Ministry of Geology, has been published.
