The insects in the animals and the tiny organs in the plants are embedded in a transparent matrix, which becomes an embedded specimen. It has the advantages of easy availability of raw materials, low cost, no fear of mildew, insects, fear of throwing, easy observation and research, and easy preservation. It is particularly suitable for making Kunming’s early life history specimens and comparative specimens of animal homologous organs. Normally, the main raw material used for making embedded specimens is urea-formaldehyde resin, the production process is cumbersome, and the technical requirements are relatively high. If the used organic glass fragments (polymethyl methacrylate) are easily dissolved in organic solvents such as chloroform (trichloromethane), the principle that the dissolved organic glass can recondense into a solid state after volatilization of chloroform can come The production of embedded specimens is characterized by simplicity, beauty and generosity. Made of plexiglass transparent body, not only can be used as specimens for long-term preservation, but also as exquisite crafts for people to watch.
