Sixty-seven T2DM patients were divided into three groups according to 24-hour urinary albumin excretion rate (NAA): NA group, MA group and CP group. The serum levels of TGF-β1 and CTGF in diabetic group and 20 normal control group were detected by double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results ① The levels of TGF-β1 and CTGF in NA group were higher than those in normal control group (P <0.05). ②MA group was higher than NA group (P <0.05), CP group was higher than MA group (P <0.05). ③ Serum TGF-β1, CTGF and UAER were positively correlated (r = 0.674, P <0.01). Conclusion TGF-β1 and CTGF may play an important role in the development of DN. May become more sensitive indicators of earlier DN, the progress of monitoring renal disease is of great significance.
