Study on Extraction Properties and Mechanism of Pd(Ⅱ) with Petroleum Sulfoxide

The extraction properties and mechanism of Pd(Ⅱ) with petroleum sulfoxide (PSO) which is a neutral extractant were studied in nitric acid solution.By investigating the influence of concentration of PSO and acidity on the reaction,the composition of extracted complex was determined as Pd(NO3)2*2PSO.The extraction equilibrium constant and the parameters of thermodynamic were also calculated.Meanwhile,the first order reaction with respect to the concentration of Pd(Ⅱ) was verified.
