多年来,我省在采种营造云南松时,存在一个较为突出的问题就是树种质量差。云南松(别名飞松、青松)是我省的主要乡土树种。它挺拔耸立,四季常青;生长快,天然更新容易;能飞子成林,适应性强、耐干旱瘠薄。可就是这样深受人们喜爱的优良树种,而今却面临着逐渐退化变劣的危险。目前云南松的低劣变种——弯扭松和地盘松的林分或植株分布较普遍。这些弯扭松、地盘松,不但材质极差,而且生长缓慢,对自然资源(土地、水、热)造成极大的浪费。造成大片云南松林低劣变种的原因是什么呢?经调查得知,主要是种子品质差引起的。根据植物生理特性,云南松的干形特征能通过种子遗传给后代。如果利用弯扭松上的种子造林更新,其子代表现型的弯扭株就占50—73.77％。由此可见,云南松扭干
