著名导演王佳纳导演的话剧《西关女人》作为广州市文化局在北京举办的“广州市社会文化展示”剧目之一,于2001年7月5日至6日在北京“儿艺”剧场演出两场。演出“爆满”的盛况,据“儿艺”剧场经理说,是该剧场演出20年来少见的。演出结束后,在文化部和中国戏剧家协会的两个座谈会上,北京专家高度评价《西关女人》的成功,20多名专家学者分别交流了观剧感受。
