中华诗词学会顾问、老诗人汪普庆不幸于今年4月4日因病逝世,享年85岁。汪普庆同志1917年生于江苏泰兴,曾长期从事外交工作,担任外交部亚洲司副司长和驻外使馆文化参赞。1987年筹建中华诗词学会时,他做了大量工作,并于同年5月学会成立时当选为第一任秘书长。1990年6月在学会的常务理事会上被补选为副会长;2000年改任顾问,仍然关心、支持学会的工作。中华诗词学会及本刊同仁对汪普庆同志的逝世表示沉痛的哀悼。
Wang Puqing, an adviser to the Chinese Poetry Society and an old poet, unfortunately passed away on April 4 this year at the age of 85. Comrade Wang Puqing was born in Taixing, Jiangsu Province in 1917 and has long been engaged in diplomatic work as deputy director of the Asian Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and cultural counselor of the embassy. When he set up the Chinese Poetry Society in 1987, he did a great deal of work and was elected as the first secretary-general when the institute was established in May of the same year. In June 1990, he was elected Vice President at the Institute’s Standing Council. In 2000, he was appointed as a Consultant, and still cares and supports the Institute’s work. The Chinese Poetry Society and its colleagues expressed their deep condolences over Comrade Wang Puqing’s death.
