2010年12月11日,第五届孔子学院大会开幕式在北京国家会议中心举行。中共中央政治局常委李长春出席开幕式,并为全球孔子学院先进集体、先进个人和优秀国际汉语教材颁奖,观看孔子学院学生演出。李长春向获奖代表表示热烈祝贺,勉励他们总结成功经验,相互学习借鉴,为促进中外文化教育交流合作、增进中国人民与世界各国人民的了解和友谊、推动建设和谐世界作出新的贡献。中共中央政治局委员、国务委员、孔子学院总部理事会主席刘延东出席开幕式并致辞。
On December 11, 2010, the opening ceremony of the 5th Confucius Institute Conference was held at the Beijing National Convention Center. Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, attended the opening ceremony and presented the awards to advanced collectives, advanced individuals and outstanding international Chinese textbooks of the Confucius Institute all over the world and watched the performances of Confucius Institute students. Li Changchun extended his warm congratulation to the winners, encouraged them to sum up successful experiences and learn from each other’s experiences, so as to make more contributions to promoting exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign cultures and education, enhancing understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and people of all countries in the world and promoting the building of a harmonious world. Liu Yandong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and member of the State Council and head of the council of the Confucius Institute Headquarters, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
