万宁市牛漏镇边肚村,是一个有36户黎族同胞的小村庄。改革开放20年来,在党的富民政策的指引下,边肚村干部带领群众,因地制宜,找准路子,艰苦创业,农村面貌焕然一新。改革开放前,边肚村穷得叮当响:三个石头一个灶,一条竹子挂衣裳,全部家产一肩挑,住的是茅草房,生活靠救济,花钱靠贷款,吃饭靠返销。党的十一届三中全会之后,边肚村党员、干部组织广大群众深刻领会党的路线、方针、政策,解放思想,转变观念,放开手脚,依靠自己的力量,走出一条靠山吃山,发展经济,脱贫致富的新路子。
