琵琶——拨奏弦鸣乐器。广泛用于中国民族乐队的弹拨乐器。它的历史悠久,积累了高超的演奏技艺及丰富曲目,成为既能独奏,又能伴奏和合奏的重要乐器。琵琶二字,在中国古代是摹拟演奏手法的形声字,右手向前弹出日“琵”,向后弹进日“琶”,是弹奏时的两个基本手法。凡是用这两个手法抱在怀中弹奏的乐器,在早期都称为琵琶。
