Dave McKean Born in Tapolw, Berkshire, England in 1963, she studied at the Berkshire College of Art and Design from 1982 to 1986 and became an illustrator before graduation painter. In 1986, he met writer Neil Gaiman and co-authored four illustrated novels and a children’s book. Their long-term collaboration began with the comic from 1989 to 1997, with Dave drawing all the covers for them. These covers are included in the 1997 edition of Dust Covers. Arkham Asylum, illustrated by Dave ’s original work by Scottish writer and playwright Grant Morrison, is by far the single most successful illustrated novel. Dave has designed the titles for television and directed titles on Neverman’s debut cover of the cover film, making vocals for Crown vodka, Nike and Eurostar trains, drawing too much for New Yorker Illustration. Since 1990, he has also designed, painted and film envelopes for over 100 CDs and has published two photographic collections.
