徐继畬是近代中国最早放眼看世界的先驱者之一、中华民族的启蒙思想家,在中国和世界的近代史上均有一定的影响.本文通过对徐继畬启蒙思想的研究,指出:徐早在一百多年前就向中国人指明了近代世界的面貌和时代潮流,提供了值得中国人效仿的近代化样板.对此应给予客观评价.作者还对徐的专著《瀛寰志略》和日本近代化启蒙思想家福泽谕吉著的《西洋事情》,进行了比较研究,着重论述了两书在中日两国近代化过程中,各自所起的不同作用及其原因.
Xu Jiyu is one of the earliest modern Chinese eyes to see the world, one of the pioneers of the Chinese nation’s enlightenment thinkers, both in China and in the modern history of the world have a certain influence.This paper through Xu Ji-yu enlightenment thought, pointed out: Xu early in more than a hundred Years ago, he pointed out to the Chinese people the face of the modern world and the trend of the times, and provided an example of modernization worthy of Chinese emulation, which should be given an objective assessment. The author also expounds on Xu’s monograph Hymn of World and Japanese Modern Enlightenment A comparative study has been conducted on the “Western Things” by the thinker Fukuzawa Yuki, focusing on the different roles and causes of the two books in their respective modernization.
