随着新科学、新技术、新材料、新设备、新工艺的不断产生,科技新名词,新技术语大量涌现,比比皆是。目前使用的英汉科技词典,包括专业性很强的分类词典,已很难全面满足科技翻译的需要,因此掌握一定的科技术语翻译原则和方法对于科技翻译者有着重要的现实意义。本文以水利英语为例浅析科技英语术语的翻译特点。
With the continuous emergence of new science, new technologies, new materials, new equipment and new technologies, new scientific and technical terms and new technical terms have emerged in numerous places. At present, English-Chinese technology dictionaries, including highly specialized classified dictionaries, are difficult to fully meet the needs of science and technology translation. Therefore, mastering some principles and methods of translation of scientific and technical terms is of great practical significance to science and technology translators. This paper analyzes the translation characteristics of scientific English terminology with water conservancy English as an example.
