邓小平同志在南巡重要谈话中指出:“社会主义的本质,是解放生产力,发展生产力,消灭剥削,消除两极分化,最终达到共同富裕。”这一论断已经写进了14大报告和党纲,成为全党的共识。但从一些报刊文章上看,人们在理解上似不尽相同。比如有的论者把它一分为二:“一是说明社会主义的目标是要消灭剥削,消除两极分化,最终达到共同富裕;二是说明达到目标的手段,即解放生产力和发展生产力。”又比如,有的或者只说社会主义同资本主义的本质区别体现在“消灭剥削,消除两极分化,最终达到共同富裕”上,认为解放生产力和发展生产力是人类社会发展的共性;或者把社会主义的本质只归结为解放生产力和发展生产力,等等。现谈一点个人理解,希望得到专家、学者和同行的指正。
