1976年8月在日本京都举行了第八次氟化学国际会议。参加这次会议的有来自36个国家的400名化学家,在会上宣读了160篇报告,涉及氟化学的各个方面。参加会议的代表有的来自大学、科研机关,有的则来自工厂。会议分三部分进行:有机化学,无机化学以及含氟聚合物的物理化学和化学。在许多报告中报导了有机化合物的氟化,Oшио(日本)指出:在300～400℃下,用氟化氢于气相取代1,1,2-三氯三氟乙烷中的氯原子时,反应进行的方向取决于所用的催化剂。
