随着我国工农业迅速发展,农村社办工厂日益增多。工业广泛应用酸硷类化学物质。当酸硷误溅入眼内时,能使组织坏死,形成烧伤。由于进入眼内酸硷物质的化学性质、作用时间及浓度不同而出现不同程度的眼部损伤。如眼睑外翻、眼睑内翻、睑球粘连、角膜斑翳、角膜白斑、继发性青光眼、并发性白内障、眼球穿孔甚至眼球萎缩等等。由于眼的酸硷化学烧伤后果较为严重,作为医务人员尤其是眼科工作者必须重视其预防及治疗工作。
