《中国大百科全书》是中国大百科出版社出版的历经１５年编纂的卷帙宏大、内容浩繁的巨著。为了编纂它，中国大百科全书出版社诞生了。 作为百科出版的“领头羊”，大百科全书出版社不断地在转变生存意识、产品结构和经营意识，走出了一条自我发展、独立创业的新路：最早开发百科全书光盘版；在《中国大百科全书》第一版出齐之后，又不失时机地开始了第二版的出版工作。仅 １９９３—１９９８年．大百科全书出版社就有《材料科学技术百科全书》、《世界市场全书》等 １６０ 余种图书分别获得了“国家图书奖”、“中国图书奖”等国家大奖及其他奖项。
“Encyclopedia of China” is published by China Encyclopedia Press after 15 years of editing volume grand, voluminous book. In order to codify it, China Encyclopedia Publishing House was born.
