我制印三十几年,所用材料五花八门,如丝粘木、青砖、青田石、寿山石、巴林石以及陶泥、瓷泥等,至今忆起不胜唏嘘。老家居于皖西北,邻里少长用私章、单位用公章多为木质,即以蒙洼平原生长的丝粘树而做的章料。此树未有斜树纹、质极细腻,又不易刻断笔画,成形也易。学着大人样,我遂用此木刻了不少篆印。既长,又用青砖制巨印,县城举办抗战胜利40周年书画印展,我参展作品属此类原料。
