豫西机床厂广大职工在反击右倾翻案风斗争中试制成功的两种程控车床，是适应国家急需的新机床品种。新厂在较短的时间里就制出了自动化的新机床产品，这是对修正主义路线的有力批判。程控机床与数控机床相比，具有制造简单、操作容易、工艺编程直观、效率高、成本低等优点。它对实现农业机械化和其它工业部门生产发展的需要有推广应用的实际意义。
