外界刺激可兴奋细胞(如肌细胞,神经细胞)可诱发动作电位或突触后电位,广义上均可称为诱发电位。目前神经科临床应用较成熟的大脑感觉诱发电位,是指刺激周围感受器后在相应的大脑感觉皮层上经电子计算机自动叠加总和后记录到的一系列生物电活动。临床上应用最广的是刺激正中神经后诱发的体感诱发电位(SEP),视觉诱发电位(VEP),脑干听觉诱发电位(BAEP),现已对较多的正常人和多种神经疾患者进行了研究,积累了各指标的正常值,并建立了一个新的客观的诊断方法,对职业性中毒性神经系统疾病的诊断也有应用价值。
