Urinary tract papillary transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) has been reported as a result of environmental factors associated with the dye and rubber industry, and is associated with smoking. Although the few people who developed TCC had smoked or had a history of industrial exposure with a suitable carcinogen, not all of them were affected by these conditions. The authors studied 105 patients with urothelial carcinoma who had survived between September and December 1976, 4 without participation, and the remaining 101 with 207 as control. The average age was 52.25 ± 12.10 years old. Except 2 cases of tumor lesions in the ureter, 3 cases in the urethra, the remaining tumor mainly in the bladder. 48.5% (49/101) in the TCC group whose blood group was type A and 37.4% (77/206) in the control group were significantly increased in the TCC group.
