“苏联英雄”是前苏联的最高荣誉称号,授予对国家、社会做出杰出贡献,建立英雄业绩的个人和集体。在战争年代,军人们视“苏联英雄”为最高奖赏,在国家建设和科技发展中建功立业的功臣们,也以获得“苏联英雄”称号为荣。“苏联英雄”的设立71年前的1934年4月16日,苏联政府中央执行委员会发布关于设立“苏联英雄”荣誉称号的命令。1936年,又决定向“苏联英雄”增授一枚苏联国家最高勋章——列宁勋章。1939年8月1日,苏联最高苏维埃主席团颁发命令,宣布:将向“苏联英雄”称号首次获得者颁发一枚列宁
“Heroes of the Soviet Union” is the highest honor of the former Soviet Union, granted individuals and groups that made outstanding contributions to the country and society and established heroic performance.
