Across the Pearl River system in Southwest China and South China, it flows through the provinces of Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi and Guangdong. There are mainly Zhuang, Miao, Yao, Dong, Buyi, Dai, Gelao, Maonan, Yi, Shui, Gelao , Ethnic minorities such as Hui Nationality and Hakka families such as the Guangfu, Hakka, Fukien (Chaoshan), and “Min” and so on, ethnic groups are complex and rich in diverse regional cultures. In the course of long historical development, all the ethnic groups in the Pearl River Basin have formed their own unique traditional cultural expressions in response to the special natural environment of the region, and have shown the characteristics of regional culture that are compatible with the landscape and compatible with each other. For a long time, due to the political center far away from the Central Plains dynasty, the Pearl River Basin was often regarded as a barbarous land. The local ethnic groups lived on the margins of the so-called multi-integrated Chinese nation and their regional culture appeared in mainstream discourse groups Among the imagination. After the 1980s, with the rapid development of regional economy, the frequent population movement and the continuous improvement of cultural exchanges, the social life of all ethnic groups in the Pearl River valley gradually became “integrated.” In this process, although the pattern of cultural diversity still exists, the inheritance and development of regional culture in the Pearl River Basin are facing an unprecedented challenge due to the continuous weakening of the social foundation that supports traditional lifestyles.
