党的“反右倾、鼓干劲、厉行增产节约”的号召,把上海工业战线上的增产节约运动迅速向前推进了一步,形成了一个越来越广阔的轰轰烈烈的群众运动。八、九两月全市生产迅速上升。八月份,上海市工业总产值比七月份提高了13.9%;九月份的形势更好,上旬和中旬全市工业总产值又比八月份增长了27.9%.现在,全市职工正在力争今年工业总产值超过国家规定的增长34%的计划指标。钢,争取提前十五天完成年产一百六十五万吨的国家计划。解放日报在中共上海市委的领导下,对上海市八、九两月工业战綫上的增产节约运动,作了集中突出的连续宣传;并且紧密结合反右倾鼓干劲,推动运动的发展。
