几年前,曹禺收到一笔港币,是香港的某演出团体委托中华版权代理总公司原总经理李奇转交的。这个团体在香港演出了几场曹禺的剧作,并按当地的法律向剧作家支付了剧本的表演权和使用费。事后,李奇对我讲,曹禺对此事颇有感慨。一是感慨这家表演团体的做法体现了现代文明和法制,钱不在多少,关键是作家的人格和权利受到了尊重,心理得到了满足;二是感慨大陆40年来不知演出了多少场他的作品,不要说向他支付表演权使用费,就连招呼也不打一声,这种情况不知什么时候才能结束。令人可喜的是我国已于1990年9月颁布了著作权法,并于91年6月1日开始实施,在保护作家合法权益方面迈出了坚实的
