2002年1月,地处湖南省衡阳市的南华大学碰上了一桩莫名其妙的尴尬事儿:省会两家广播电台和报纸不知怎的在报道春运学生票价政策的消息中,称南华大学为可以享受正规院校待遇的“民办高校”。而南华大学实际上是由国防科工委与湖南省共建的不折不扣的“正规院校”。学校师生员工看到这些报道后,都非常不解,社会上也议论纷纷。笔者作为本校教师又是兼职律师,被学校校长全权委托赴省会与媒体交涉,维护学校合法权益。事关学校与学生的“名声”和前途,笔者不敢怠
In January 2002, Nanhua University in Hengyang, Hunan province came across an awkward embarrassment: In the news that the two provincial broadcasters and the newspapers covered the fare policies of the Spring Festival students, they said that Nanhua University Can enjoy the treatment of regular institutions of “private colleges and universities.” Nanhua University is in fact a “regular university” jointly established by the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and Hunan Province. After the teachers and students of the school saw these reports, they were very puzzled and talked about in society. The author, as a teacher in this school, is a part-time lawyer who is entrusted by the school principals to negotiate with the media in the provincial capital and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the school.
