西瓜是台湾最重要的园艺作物之一,近年在所有的水果与蔬菜中,其栽培面积与产量均居首位。西瓜总产值每年约35亿元(新台币,下同),外销值达2亿元左右。尤其是无子西瓜发展迅速,己成为世界上最突出的企业化生产无子西瓜并大量外销的地区。台湾地跨热带与亚热带,四季温暖,日照充足,但水、风灾与病虫害严重,发展西瓜生产利弊兼有,因此其栽培技术也颇具特色.现具体分述如下。 一、产销概况
