社会持续发展、市场经济和国际化大都市的建设目标必然要求城市规划高起点、高标准、高质量,为此,城市规划与管理部门转变规划观念、改进技术方法、强化规划管理,GIS等新技术的应用为规划与管理工作提供了新的手段。 为了在新情况、新问题、新政策、新任务不断出现的城市建设中更好地实施城市总体规划,建立实用化的广州市城市总体规划信息系统(GUMPIS)成了城市规划与建设管理工作的迫切需要。本文系统地阐述了GUMPIS的设计与建立的方法、思想,提出了GUMPIS总体框架,并对系统目标,系统设计和技术关键等问题作了重点介绍,具有可操作性。作为运行系统,GUMPIS还有许多技术问题需要在研制与运行中不断解决。
