The Three Gorges Water Control Project has a huge scale, magnificent construction and high technical requirements. Its generator set will be ahead of the world’s largest list of hydropower motors: - Installation of 26 hydro-generator units with an annual average power generation of 84.7 billion kwh, equivalent to 58% of the total hydropower generation in 1993 in the country. The total installed capacity is the largest in the world today. ——Single capacity of 700,000 kilowatts, 9.85 meters in diameter, is among the highest in the world’s hydropower stations. - Generator thrust bearing, with a load of 6,000 tons, is the king of the international market.
