在印度,椰蛀蛾( Opisina arenosellaW1k. =Nephantis serinopa Meyr. 鳞翅目,木蛾科)已成为一种对椰子树日趋严重的威胁。随着这种果树的不断的扩种,在传统的沿海地带和在内陆平原,此虫正向新区扩展着。 此虫以幼虫取食叶片的绿色物质造成为害。它们在叶背构筑丝网状虫道,排泄粪便并隐蔽于其中。每片褶折小叶里面可有几头幼虫。此虫通常从较低部位的叶片开始为害并逐渐向其他叶片扩展。严重的情况下,除顶端少数叶片外的整个树冠均被侵害,而出现“光头”。受害叶干枯,因而树势衰弱,大大地降低产量。椰蛀蛾主要为害椰子(Coc-cs nucifera),而且已知还为害其它树种。 In India, Opisina arenosellaW1k. = Nephantis serinopa Meyr., Lepidoptera, Moth, has become a growing threat to coconut trees. With the continuous expansion of the fruit tree, the worm is expanding into new areas in the traditional coastal zone and in the inland plains. This worm infects green leaves of larvae causing damage. They form silk-screen worms on the leaves, excreting faeces and concealing them. There may be a few larvae inside each folds folds. The insects usually start from the lower part of the leaf blade damage and gradually extended to other leaves. Serious cases, except for the top few leaves outside the crown were infringed, and the emergence of “bald.” Injured leaves dry, and thus weak trees, greatly reducing production. Cocoon moths are predominantly coc-cs nucifera and are also known to harm other species.
