去年年底,中共中央纪委、中共中央组织部、中共中央宣传部、中央“保持共产党员先进性教育活动”领导小组联合发出《关于开展向牛玉儒同志学习活动的决定》,号召全体党员干部特别是领导干部,向新时期党员领导干部的楷模牛玉儒学习。胡锦涛总书记专门作出重要批示:“向勤政为民、鞠躬尽瘁的牛玉儒同志表示崇高的敬意和深切怀念。党需要这样的好干部,人民需要这样的贴心人。我们应该学习他,宣传他,让千千万万个牛玉儒式的好干部涌现出来。”牛玉儒同志生前任内蒙古自治区党委常委、呼和浩特市委书记。参加革命工作30多年中,他以饱满的革命激情和忘我的工作精神,模范地践行“三个代表”重要思想。本刊特编发了一组牛玉儒同志的事迹,供基层广大党员学习。
