信息时代图书馆面临的挑战及其变革的出路在于形成知识信息产业。多媒体等新技术的应用为图书馆变革提供了技术基础,世界经济发展为之创造了机遇,图书馆要摆脱困境,只有尽快实现知识信息产业化的变革。
Libraries in the information age are facing the challenge and the change lies in the formation of knowledge and information industry. The application of new technologies, such as multimedia, provides the technological basis for the library reform. The world economy has created opportunities for it. The libraries must get out of their predicament and only realize the industrialization of knowledge and information as soon as possible.
