The toll roads in the world are 140,000 kilometers, of which 100,000 are in China and account for 70% of the world’s total. The Ministry of Communications provides 40 kilometers to set up a toll station, while some local governments provide that toll stations can be set up every 20 kilometers or even shorter trips of high-grade highways. In the past five years, China has invested more funds in transportation infrastructure than in the first 50 years of its founding. With the lack of financial resources, local governments have brought miracles in highway construction by leaps and losses and the introduction of commercial capital, as well as benefiting from all the conveniences brought by transportation in all directions. However, the chaotic management of toll roads has become more and more the open cancer and corruption on the roads.
