古亭在中韩两国的造园艺术中，都因其历史背景、造园功能和美学而发挥了特殊的作用。本研究从建筑符号学的角度，运用符号学和建筑符号学的这一方法论，分析古亭符号的代码，以古亭符号的主要技术代码、主要句法代码和主要语义学代码，揭示中韩古亭的内涵及特点，也体现出中韩两国在文化思想、传统习惯上的各自特点。这样就使我们对中韩古亭的形式和内容能有深刻的理解。
Kuting has played a special role in the art of gardening in both China and South Korea due to its historical background, garden function and aesthetics. From the perspective of architectural semiotics, this study uses the methodology of semiotics and semiotics to analyze the codes of the ancient kiosks and the main technical codes, major syntactic codes and major semantic codes of the ancient kiosks, Connotation and characteristics, but also reflect the respective characteristics of China and South Korea in cultural thoughts and traditional customs.
