新民主主义新中国的保护劳动政策在中华人民共和国成立时,就在共同纲领第三十二条中规定了「……公私营企业目前一般应实行八小时至十小时工作制,特殊情况得斟酌办理,人民政府应按照各地各业情况规定最低工资,逐步实行劳动保险制度,保护青工女工特殊利益,实行工矿检查制度,以改进工矿的安全卫生设备」。三年来,中央人民政府根据共同纲领的精神,陆续制定了很多保护劳动法令。江西在执行保护劳动法令上做了许多工作,基本上改变了反动统治时期各企业遗留下来给工人生产上和生活上各种恶劣的环境,劳动条件逐步提高。
