Objective To explore the MRI features of intracranial hemangiopericytoma (HPC) and improve the diagnostic accuracy. Methods The MRI findings of 11 cases of intracranial HPC confirmed by surgery and pathology were retrospectively analyzed. Results All the 11 tumors were located in the intracranial brain. Nine cases (81.82%) showed lobulated tumor with uneven or slightly lower signal on MR T1WI and non - uniform or slightly higher signal on T2WI. Seven cases (63.64% %) Showed mixed or slightly higher signal on diffusion weighted imaging (DWI). In 10 cases (90.91%) of the tumors, obvious vascular shadow was observed inside or at the edge of the tumor. Enhanced scanning in 11 cases were significantly uneven enhancement, only 2 cases (18.18%) showed “Meningeal sign ”. Conclusion MRI manifestations of intracranial HPC have certain characteristics, which can help to improve the preoperative diagnosis rate of HPC.
