被誉为国门第一路的北京首都机场高速公路已胜利建成,8月14日正式通车,李鹏总理为通车典礼剪彩。一条坦荡的现代化高速公路把北京和全国各大城市以及世界许多大城市联结起来,全面地改善和提高了北京航空港的疏港能力。旧机场路始建于1958年,它曾为中外宾客作过重要贡献,但它毕竟已服务了30多年,许多设施已经陈旧:而且原来的标准就比较低,路面宽仅7～9m,交叉口多且绝大多数是平面交叉,服务水平低。近几年首都机场已发展成为我国最大的航空港,这条路已无力承担日益繁重的交通流量。
The Beijing Capital Airport Expressway, which is reputed as the first route to the country, has been successfully completed and opened to traffic on August 14th. Premier Li Peng cut the ribbon for the opening ceremony. A magnificent modern highway connects Beijing with major cities in the country and many of the world’s major cities, and comprehensively improves and enhances the port capacity of Beijing’s airport. The Old Airport Road, which was built in 1958, once made an important contribution to Chinese and foreign guests. However, it has served for more than 30 years and many facilities are outdated: the original standard was rather low, the road surface was only 7 to 9 meters wide, and the intersection Most of them are cross-over and the service level is low. In recent years, the Capital Airport has developed into the largest airport in our country. This road has become incapable of undertaking increasingly heavy traffic.
