新疆维吾尔自治区这一承载着深远历史文化底蕴的少数民族聚居区曾是中国古代丝绸之路的必经之处,那时她还是神秘的西域,而随着历史变迁,大中华文化圈内部互通有无,相互影响,新疆文化已经成为中华文化不可分割的一部分,新疆哈密市老城的“见世面礼”完整的保存了新疆维吾尔族女性的多小辫发式文化,尝试找到哈密老城区女性一直坚持多小辫发式和“见世面礼”的原因、意义,进而关注这种民俗现今在哈密地区范围内的存留状况和未来存亡对于我国少数民族民俗文化研究意义重大。
