Ipson Industries of the United States published a new nitriding process called “Nitemper” that can be used to improve the wear resistance and fatigue resistance of steel and cast iron parts such as crankshafts, rolls, connecting rods, die-casting molds. The new nitriding process does not produce “nuisance” without exposing or disposing of toxic and explosive chemicals and generating toxic gases. Nitriding equipment is a nitriding furnace with a cleaning chamber and a quench chamber, and a unit for supplying ammonia gas and absorbing heat. Nitriding temperature is 570 ± 5 ℃, nitriding atmosphere is 50%
