在20世纪初年的中国,“国魂”是一个热门词语。知识人认为国魂有新旧之别,作为被正式使用的词语和被广泛论述的话语,国魂先于民族精神、国民性而被时人接受,但与民族精神、国民性有着密切的关系。国魂为不同的政治派别表达政治诉求提供了契机,学人的国魂论述是因应中国“几千年未有之变局”的积极探索,是“不欲为亡国之民”的政治吁求之中精神层面的构建,是近代国人探索救亡图存的历程中向深层迈进的表征之一。
In the early 20th century China, “national soul” is a hot word. As a formally used word and widely discourse, the national soul is accepted by the people before the national spirit and the national character, but it is closely related to the national spirit and national character. The national spirit provides an opportunity for different political parties to express their political appeal. The discussion of the national spirit of scholars is an active exploration in response to the “unprecedented changes in thousands of years” in China.
