王维后期山水诗追求的是一种“空灵”的审美趣味,在其后期诗作中大多是“词调秀雅,意新理惬”作佛语而有浓厚禅理,禅趣的作品,它们不仅在诗歌艺术上有特色,更开拓了艺术表现的新天地。在这些作品中没有了牢骚、愤慨、和谐、淡泊、静穆、和平、无欲、无贪、无求、无住……这就是王维后期山水诗中禅的境界。
Wang Wei’s pursuit of landscape poetry in the later period is a kind of aesthetic taste of “ethereal”. In his later poems, most of them are "Zen Notes, They not only have their own characteristics in poetry and art, but also open up a new world of artistic expression. There is no discontent, indignation, harmony, indifference, silence, peace, aspiration, no corruption, no begging, no living in these works ... This is the realm of Zen in Wang Wei’s landscape poetry.
